‘Pejman’ series star to perform in theater play

Iranian actor and former footballer Pajman Jamshidi is to perform in a new theater play.

Iranian actor and former pro soccer player is set to star in a new theater production by Ali Ahmadi.

The play titled ‘Pepperoni for the Dictator’ will be staged at theater center in the Iranian capital city of Tehran with ‘Pejman’ series leading actor as well as another Iranian movie star Mohsen Kiayee to appear on stage.

‘Pepperoni for the Dictator’ was run in 2015 for the first time and due to great audience reactions and response the play will be performed in the next Persian calendar year (staring March 21).

The Persian New Year, Nowruz, starts with the beginning of spring in Iran, where people hold ceremonies for the onset of the season. This year, Nowruz starts on March 21, 2017.

Born September 11, 1977 in Tehran, Pejman Jamshidi was a professional footballer who played as midfielder for Persepolis, Saipa, Pas Tehran and some other clubs. 

He made his debut TV series with ‘Medical Building’ (2011), but his role in the TV series ‘Pejman’ (2013), directed by Soroush Sehat, made him a household name.

Jamshidi has appeared in the TV series ‘Cloudy Years’ (2014), the movie ‘Ceasefire 2’ (2014) and the telefilm ‘The Honor of Fazel Family’ (2013).
